The GBFB puts your donation to good use as 96% of all donations we receive go directly to food and services, helping us to continue to meet demands and start even more programs.

Become a Weekender Backpack Buddy

Sponsor a participating child or an entire school in the Weekender Backpack Program. This program, with sites located throughout Berks County, provides much needed food to young children at risk of hunger. In Honor and In Memory Gifts

Pay tribute to or honor the memory of a friend or loved one through a gift to the Greater Berks Food Bank. Your gift will show that someone special how much you care about them and also tell them you care about local families in need. In honor and in memory donations make wonderful birthday, anniversary, or holiday gifts. These gifts are also appropriate for companies to make in honor of their employees or clients, especially during the holiday season. The GBFB will mail your honoree an acknowledgement letter of your thoughtful gift (the dollar amount will be omitted). To make a gift, either complete the acknowledgement information while making an online donation or click here and complete the acknowledgement information on the form and mail or fax to the Greater Berks Food Bank. Matching Gifts

You can double and possibly even triple your donation to the GBFB if the company you work for matches donations made by employees (and in many instances retirees as well) to charitable organizations. To find out if your company matches charitable gifts contact your company’s human resource department. If they do match gifts, ask your human resources personnel for the matching gifts form and mail the completed form with your donation to:

Monthly Donations

Hunger is a year-round problem that requires year-round solutions. The Monthly Donor Program allows you to participate in the fight against hunger throughout the year by automatically deducting a fixed monthly payment from your credit card. Any amount of at least $10 per month is welcome. However, you may change the amount or drop out at any time. To become a monthly donor, please complete this downloadable enrollment form and mail to:
